I grew up in Seoul wanting to run Nike one day. I loved football, and I was fascinated by boots and jerseys: not just how they looked, but how the materials worked.
I've always believed that if you want to learn something properly, you go to where it comes from. At fifteen I moved to the UK on my own for boarding school, after researching the schools, the visas and the scholarships myself, and finished a four-year course in three.
I chose college in the US because the industries and the opportunities were bigger, and I decided to pay for it myself. I spent a gap year building a tutoring business and the platform behind it, and interning at KASA, a real estate investment platform.
At NYU I moved from math to Stern, where I study Finance and Math with a minor in Film Production. I've worked in structured credit, M&A, investment management, startup strategy and operations, and I join McKinsey as a summer business analyst in 2027. I founded the NYU Sailing Club, I still take singing lessons, and I still show visiting Korean students around campus.
In the long run, I want to build a business that helps Korean products, food and creators find their place in the US.
This site is a record of each place I have worked: what the problem was, what I did about it, and what I learned.
The Work page lists every place in order. TheWriting page has the pieces.
